Matthias Schilke
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Sometimes we feel overwhelmed with stressors of life or find ourselves disconnected from our feelings. We struggle with self-esteem and are not sure how to become the person we want to be. At times we might feel like giving up on ourselves and our relationships.
My approach to therapy involves creating a safe and empathetic space, conducting a thorough assessment, and collaboratively setting achievable goals with clients struggling with stress, motivation, and feelings of disconnection. Using cognitive-behavioural techniques, emotional focused therapy, and interpersonal skill building, I work to challenge negative thinking, enhance self-esteem, and improve relationships. Regularly assessing progress and adjusting strategies, I collaboratively guide clients towards self-reflection, insight, and the pursuit of meaning and purpose, fostering a transformative therapeutic journey.
I strive to empower my clients to effectively manage stress, enhance self-confidence, and cultivate meaningful connections. My goal is to help clients build resilience, foster a stronger sense of identity, and work towards becoming the person they aspire to be, leading to improved overall life satisfaction and healthier relationships.
